I am in the process of reading "Extortion 17" by the father of a Navy SEAL that was on the bird when it went down. Lot's of information in it from "official classified" redacted reports. Several high ranking individuals are interviewed and I am slowly changing my perception of some of our JSOC/SOCOM Leadership.

Has anyone else read the book and if so what is your take on it?

Is the book focused on an Afghanistan CH-47 going down? Just wondering. The book sounds interesting, I may have to read it!

Yes. They book is called "Betrayed: The Shocking True Story of Extortion 17".
