I hope it is hard. I would not want CI agents who can not write reports and can not talk to sources.
I went to the course in 1978, I was a Marine infantryman who had been on two cruises. I did not know how to type. Lots of coffee and hard rock music is what got a lot of the enlisted Marines through the Army Officers Course. In 1983-87, I was in the Army and taught the CI course at FT Huachuca. I sure do hope it is a tough course, and you become a good replacement for my friends.

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint I agree. The harder the school, the better off you are.

It is very writing intensive and even if you are great at writing at the college level, you need to be proficient at the Army writing style. Active voice versus passive and writing what you mean. Remember words have meaning and everything is taken literally.

Depends on you. Pay attention and don't argue with instructors. Be a sponge and just learn what you can.

Has anyone recently reclassed to 35L? How hard is the school?

Your instructors want you to succeed because if you fail they have failed you, that was my perspective when I was an instructor. Seek their guidance, expertise, and listen to the their life lessons.

I agree with SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint . I was the 1SG of a deployable CI company and later the CSM of a strategic CI Battalion. From my civilian job I stayed in touch with the CI world and had many friends in the CI community in many civilian agencies as well as the other Services. 35L school should be tough so the agents who come out of there are tough enough to do their jobs in a wide variety of circumstances. It is a challenging job if done well. CW2 Ernest Krutzsch

Everything is hard that is worth it. Just go there and focus, it's not a party nor college. Just show up and do your job.
