I've attended NH before.Overall, it's a good option. The quality of the program vary buy instructor; some are excellent and others should stick with being technicians or administrators.
The program is relatively expensive on the surface; you can easy pay $2000-$4000 per class. However, you can normally classes and get your certification in a short time. (Between a week and a couple of months) allowing you to go into workforce quickly and IT Jobs can pay well.
IT courses and certain are not easy. yes, at new horizons you finish a certification prep course in a week or two and they often provide vouchers to take the test after the course. Keep in mind, you're cramming 200+ pages of material into a week. It may require some additional study and preparation to ready for examination
Many working professionals attend NH at some point in their career to check the block for the next certification milestone in their career. They're a solid player in the industry, I'm just you an idea of expectations. Good luck!

Unclear about the question, what notes do you speak of? As far as locations, I don't have a preference. I attended their brick and mortar classes as well as taken online courses. They're both good. SGT (Join to see) -

I have taken a few courses with New Horizons. As SFC Michael Jackson, MBA stated, good option .. quality of instructors will vary per location (some excellent, some good, some shouldn't be instructors). I am currently looking into MyComputerCareer as have excellent training program as well as job placement (80%) upon graduation; job placement begins upon completion of first 2-3 certifications (total of 9 certifications upon completion of program).

Looks interesting. I see nothing about Linux, though. SSG Derek Scheller and LTC John Shaw, check this out.

I did NH and it didnt work for me. I would say look up http://www.trainingcamp.com . Much better bootcamps in my opinion. I have gotten most of my certifications through them. And they test at the end of each bootcamp..

I have not going through the career program, but I have taken three courses at New Horizons within the past year. As others have stated the course work is fast passed and thorough. The real key is which instructor you get that will determine how much extra you get out of the course.

The courses were you take the cert test on the last day are boot camps. A few days of lessons, lots of reading at home, and practice tests in the lab. The other courses had much more instruction, and virtual lab machines to practice on.

Looks about the same as enrolling in a single course at a time as I did. each class should last a week. It will be fast past and a lot to learn in a short time. Take advantage of any other learning tools you can get your hands on. Professor Messer http://www.professormesser.com/ is a great free resource.

Things I see with this I would take the cert exams as soon as you feel ready and not draw it out. Having 2 chances per test is great. Another is the Win 7 course, not sure how familiar you are with that OS, but the move from Win 7 to Win 10 is happening now so it might be beneficial to jump on that training. But, there are still many placing using Win 7 as of now.

As far as location? That shouldn't matter as the training will most likely be with an online instructor, or in classroom training with a certified instructor. You may want to do some research on your local facility, but I have no complaints so far.

I attended the MCSE courses way back in the late 90s. I believe they were called New Horizons Computer Learning Center back then. It was in Colorado Springs. I found them to be pretty great. Knowledgeable instructors and nice facilities. But that was nearly 20 years ago.

Good luck with your school selection.

SGT (Join to see) - I'm sorry, but no I haven't. Like I said, it was nearly 20 years ago for me while stationed in Colorado Springs. I'm now living back in Maine and don't even know if NH has a "campus" here. Back when I was enrolled, the instructors came right of the industry; they weren't full-time staff. I have no idea if that is still the case.

Sounds like their core model hasn't changed much since I attended. I'd ask to interview somebody who has graduated and taken the certification tests in the program you're interested in pursuing. It isn't an unreasonable request and something a lot of schools can facilitate with their alum. I believe you'd get a better understanding of what it is you're getting yourself into, and if you're getting value for the time and $$ invested.
