Yes, playing gets the mind busy on other things. Call of Duty games are a no go for me. I dont enjoy fps games anymore. Skyrim and RPG and Sports games are the best for me.

I've never really liked FPS games. However, the Fallout series could be considered one but is a solo futuristic RPG.

This sounds so much like an “After School Special” question. Illicit, transactional, and deviant. In reality there are more than 200m Americans (over 67%) who play digital/video games of one form or another. That said, gaming is fun and immersive and may provide an old adrenaline junkie like me a relatively risk free thrill. So the question isn’t totally out of left field. But consider that I’m in my 40s and played my first console game in 1981. I’ve had one form or another of “video game” outlet ever since. If there’s a clinical interest in this question, you may want to refine it a bit.

No.
We use movies and series for outlets as well and this isn't that different. At times, 'escaping' for while is a good thing.

It allows for a place I can control with out stress or too much pressure. A place to work things out and take my mind away from things for s bit

Then don't play a Soulsborne game or you will get stressed.

Yes. I play sports games like NBA 2k. It also helps me connect with those around me.
