I would teach my Soldiers about the history and operation of it. Every unit I was in had one of these because of MILTOE requirements.

As a MP, the oldest fill device you've probably seen was a KYK-13 or ANCD. It's okay.

OH WOW!!!! This is from the MSE Dark Ages! We had these in our unit but never actually used them. We used CZY-10's and KYK-13's
