Im preferable to debian, ie ununtu and mint just to name a few. Started out with slackware, but in the end its all the same.

Debian to me has a better package manager, just man apt-get, it even says there it has super cow powers!!

Die windoze... Live linux/unix.

My question to you now is, what, if any is the differnce between linux and unix....

From a technical point of view, not much of a difference. Linux has long been driven by the community(Open Source) as where UNIX has more a proprietary nature commercially.

OS X runs on a BSD kernal. I use all versions of *niux.

From what I've read, they've replaced all BSD code with proprietary code within the last few years.

Yes, there is very little true BSD left in OS X.
