I was assigned to an 8in bn and we had all howitzers retubed so we had to chronograph with war reserve ammo, to include zone charges. What a sight to see.

LTC Frank DiMuccio, I am stumped COL. One brother spoke of projo's exceeding 150 pounds. The other told of one minute for a 106 MM Reckless rifle to site, fire a spotter and main gun, that's all I know about BIG GUNS!

CSM Charles Hayden the m110a2 fired projectiles weighing between 204lbs and 254 lbs. Zone charges were used with the heavier projos.
