How about Navy Balloon Pilot Wings. They were official Navy issue way, way back.

I had one when assigned to the 27th Airborne engineers in 1976, correction. I wore glider patch on my cap.

I have heard of it and only seen one on a uniform for a 82nd Airborne Soldier.
