So when I was leaving active duty I applied for a Small Business Admin Patriot Express loan and after 3 months of submitting paperwork was denied a loan. I found out that the Patriot Express program had been cancelled and the bank loan administrator was unaware! I subsequently found alternative investment and was off the races. I was wanting to hear if other veterans had similar problems with banks and/or the SBA.

Lt McIntosh,
There is a company called Streetshares (http://www.streetshares.com) you should get in contact with. They spoke at our veterans small business conference last June. The owner is a veteran and knows about all the issues with banks.

"Small businesses on StreetShares.com create a personalized pitch for a small business loan, and investors compete to fund any part of the loan. The lowest investor bids are combined to form a single loan - It’s like “Shark Tank” meets “eBay” for small business lending.

StreetShares is breathing new life into the American Dream. We are veteran-owned and veteran-run."
