What have you personally done to help the homeless where they are?
In Kansas I took part in ICT open streets, a large scale clinic to make sure people were identified, meds were written down, and basic information was taken down by student nurses doing their community service rotation. They then moved on to nurses who did assessments and asked for more information and each person was given sack lunches, and saw the doctors. They were close to a building which was used for showers and changing into clean clothes that were donated,.
This program was repeated again but I couldn’t participate
Sure,y there is one going on in your town?

I think the biggest impact cause that I have participated in with regards to homelessness, is the carpentry program at the community college I'm attending works with the city of Oakland to build tiny house style homes for the homeless, as part of a transitional plan to take the homeless off the street and provide services to assist them in finding permanent housing and employment.
