So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

They often piss me off, but I think this is funny as hell. When he said E-7 petty officer in the Navy, you had to crack up!

I dont know much about the navy..but i know we dont mix our branches together on a uniform..i was 11bravo and wore a blue cord and blue backing on my dress blues n greens..our uniforms had to be stract n neat..well anyways one thing pisses me off above all else..that is i think the surplus stores n uniform stores should not give patches n insignia out without a dd214 in hand proving there military..on top of that a stiff fine of fraud giving to any poser and a public announcement!

I think if he was fully dressed with name tapes and such, there would be a legit reason to call him out.
