I actually met a poser in person. It was fricking epic. When the guy was asked what his MOS was, he responded with sergeant! Lol I was like ok right dude, have a nice day! Loser.

There was a video going around a while back of a clearly disabled person wearing acu's and all sorts of patches definitely not a soldier and guy suspecting stolen valor went up and started poking fun at the way he was dressed asking questions mentally he could not answer there's a big difference between a guy who wishes he had surved and wanting to wear the uniform and stolen valor I met a guy while on the job once had a civilian dod Id card on a lanyard I asked if he worked for the military and he said he was a " former Marine" then I told him sorry about your luck but you have to move your vehicle he got pissed and thried to threaten me with his " former Marine " status lol sorry buddy I says but theres no such thing then I told him he was a damn liar now that's stolen valor

I have not but when I was recently separated from active duty and was talking about it, as a newly separated Vet does, 2 people told me they were Marines and when asked what unit they were in could not remember. Hmmmm

This is old and the poor guy is obviously mentally handicapped but it still does not make it right his family or friends should square him away

I love the military and I want to join the Marine corps my brotherwas a marine I feel anyone who poses to be in the military and is not is very disrespectful. People who does this should feel ashamed for doing this. We have lost great Americans.i feel who try to steal valor should be arrested and charged
