So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

I sit here and read these comments and see a lot of NCOs and some senior NCOs name calling. My point being, we are professionals and should conduct ourselves as such. The discussion is about a possible civilian posing as a soldier, And how wrong he is and etc. Stop and think about your post to each other, calling each other names and being unprofessional. Are you really any better than the poser. Be the professional you have earned the rank for. have a great day. Thank you all for your service.

I would have talked with the gentleman and engaged with some general knowledge and let him know that many brave men and women have caught and died wearing that uniform proudly ( my brother included) and to me and all of us who put our lives on the line is a slap in the face and a disgrace to us who actually served. I would have also asked him if he was serious about wearing that uniform to actually enlist and join our band of brothers and sisters and become part of something that can not only be taught but more distinctly earned and if not then font disgrace us or use that uniform as a punchline or get recognized for a job you didn't do or the respect you haven't earned.

It's crazy that people actually believe that they can fool someone about that. I would just keep questioning them and questioning him to the point where they're lying over and over again. Each time exposing self more and making themselves look that much more ignorant and stupid. Then depending on how much farther I wanted to take it. Also, depending on how much disrespect, dishonor, or hell if I'm having a bad day....he might catch a best down outta respect for our fallen brothers!

They get so nervous when you catch them. It's more fun to toy with them then have them arrested.

When they are really bad like that I walk up to them and chuckle alittle and call for who ever is with me and say things like "Hey hon, honey, did you see this little retarted boy, aint he cute? Hey I would give you a high five little guy (adding to the insult of calling them little guy is that i am only 5 foot 6) but I have been sick." I have stopped talking to them about whats wrong and how I found them out because they gather this intel and get better at their game. (make sure you use the voice you use for very small children, small animals and confused old people while talking at him
