So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

Annnnnd, go...

No. As a veteran, Veteran For Peace and Pax Christi member I've been questioned a few times as I wear portions of a uniform within the regs in solidarity with our veterans who are homeless, forgotten and broken. I do this to remind others we live in a warrior culture.

For starters if he was an E-7 in the Navy, he wouldn't be a P.O.

What the fuck!? I tried to get in back in the 90s. Went to boot and everything. It took me 6 years to get a medical waiver to get in. It took USMC 8 days to turn down the waiver and kick me out. I would gladly do it all over again. I don't claim to be a Marine and I'm sure I have more time than that little prick. Somebody should have publicly criticized that asshole!

Guy right here in Fayetteville nc, about 400 meters from one of the gates, tell some pretty good stories, e and e out of Pakistan ect. No mil time nothing, tells this to all the newbie s .
Now the last one I heard was he told them he was OGA, so I'm thinking he meant ODA, but no its oga, other government agency.
He doesn't say this in front of team guys that have been around but we hear about it.
So if your in the military. And a guy says oga, I have to ask, so you work for the welfare office?
Another guy said he was a operator, I ask, bell south or att.
So yes we even have the here at Fort Bragg.

I am from a small city in South Dakota. Sometimes because we are a farming community, people think we are dumb here. Well the joke is on them. We have a strong veteran community. With two Reserve units and two Guard units, along with 20% our community being veterans, we are not stupid to false military. As for posers, stay away because you will get busted out here. I personally busted a few out. When someone claimed to be a former Army Ranger, lies about rank and tell other bs stories, your going to get busted. Most of these are bold enough to come into our local VFW or Legion to tell their stories. I think these men and women should be fined, military clothing be confiscated, and be put on a watch list. These people, the posers, are not mentally stable.

I ran into a kid that weighted a buck n a quarter soaking wet wearing a Ranger tab on the wrong shoulder, when I questioned him he gave me the wrong answers. I made him take his acu top off and releived him of his head gear. He wouldn't meet with me outside the mall. Hate people that do shit like that.
