So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

WTF is he supposed to be? Look at the this uniform! He looks like a display mannequin for an Army Navy Store!

I may be a lowly E-2 but I'll be damned if I don't defend something I earned and so many of my superiors live for. If you want to disrespect me to my face, all the power to you, but don't disrespect the fallen by disrespecting the uniform.

Well, as a "service member" in question, maybe some application of FM 22-102 to get to the bottom of this temporary lack of common sense by this individual and bring him back to reality..for those that don't know FM 22-102; google it..

They come out of the woodwork on 4th of July and Veterans Day at Lowe's and Home Depot to get the Military Discount...When asked to show proof..they say their records are Classified and locked up...I have Veteran on my TEXAS Drivers license, my Life Member VFW Card..and now Lowe's has a program for Honorable Discharged Vets that when you fill out the form you get automatically put into their system and receive your discount year round.
