So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

Annnnnd, go...

Use surplus bdu' s for duck hunting. We had fatigues when I served, and they seem to have shrunk over the past 35 years.

I see lots of posers outside malls in parking lots begging as vets, thinking that will get them what they want, a hand out. most of them cant answer simple questions any vet without brain damage would know.

In 72 while going home on a leave from Bragg I seen a kid at the airport wearing all these "hay look at me's" and a bunch of other shit. The MP's also noticed him and approached him and began asking him a few questions like what unit he was with and such. Finally one MP asked the kid what his rank was. He said SGM. Immediately the MP asked him is that why you have sergeant strips and a Major's insignia on your lapel. The kid answered "yes" and they promptly escorted him away.
