So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

Annnnnd, go...

Four years in RVN, airborne infantry, pathfinder and MACV. Not a poser. I've seen too many fine men travel home in body bags to let someone disrespect them in any manner. I WILL call them out

I think you should have asked him a bunch of questions like they do in tbe videos and seen him get nervous, however it is now legal now for him to do that even if it is incredibly disrespectul

Chief Petty Officers are E-7's...however, unless he is a Hospital Corpsman, no way is he a Marine!

I had a guy say he was in Vietnam. I aaked him where he was stationed. He looked around and said he was all over. I name a place, I spent 2 1/2 years there and I was in I Corps for a year and IV Corps for a year. I must know one place he had been. He continued to say all over so I told him he was full of $hit and left.

Anyone who has NEVER served in any branch of the military should have the living S**T kicked out of him/her and then dropped behind the lines so they can get what's coming to them. If I ever come across anyone like this he/she will get a very large piece if my mind if not a punch in the face for disgracing the uniform of proud military, active and veterans.

I was called out and yelled at because I have a vest that has Security Police emblems, a OMS maintenance patch, a MAC ALCE emblem, and a patch from the 437th Wing DOXS and a hat that says 377 SPS "Proven in Combat." (I was a member of that unit from 5 Jan 72 to 6 Jan 73) I guess I need to always carry my DD form 214 with me. You see I started out in Security Police as a 81250 but later cross trained into Base Operations (27151) and was attached to the MAC ALCE. The Palace Balance program forced me into OMS (Operations Maintenance Squadron) 43151, for a couple of years then cross trained me out into Squadron Operations 27172 where I was again attached to the MAC ALCE (DOXL) and later into Wing Special OPS (DOXS) that did planning for SOLL missions (Special Ops Low Level) with C141s and C130s. I also worked Stage Management for Desert Storm and Desert Shield from Charleston AFB. I worked all of them and am entitled to every emblem, patch and pin. I also have a tee shirt with a man in a parachute that says "Been there Done That" from a recreational jumping clubs from bases I was on. No it wasn't part of my AFSC I only did it for sport until I had my tib/fib break and fracture. I am proud of all the positions I held in my career, and every emblem I have was authorized per AF Reg 35-10. So please call out imposters but be sure you check the facts.

I believe they should be arrested and molested for perpetrating a fraud.
