So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

Annnnnd, go...

Yup, met this guy that said he was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army. He had a good story, or at least I thought it was entertaining. Being naïve and accepting people for their word it took me some time to realize that he was full of crap. My first hint that I missed that he was a poser was that he went to a community college after he graduated in 1988 and he joined the Army before graduating from college and went to Panama as well as the first Gulf war. I didn't put it together at the time that you had to have a Bachelors Degree, the last combat commission was in the 70's, which he supposedly used his GI Bill to get after he returned home. He also claimed to be in the Army's Paranormal combat unit the red berets and he was a sniper during Panama.

It's terrible people posing as our sacred military personnel. I for one am a civilian. I attempted to join but sadly had a "special diploma" from high school due to finishing school in OJT. I had an opportunity to take the table test but was an idiot and got in legal trouble prior to taking it. I did however take and pass the ASVAB. point is I didn't earn the right to dawn the uniform. I have the utmost respect for you people and pray daily for you as it must be difficult to see the way our country is behaving like a bunch of nuts. Just know that there are more of us that respect and love our brave men and women in our USA militaries

I have seen several but they only dress up in the uniforms when they're offered free food on Veterans Day

I say take him to the paint locker and sort it out of even better yet lead him to the goat locker and just wait out side until the screaming subsides and the blood stops oozing from under neither the door and a Chief comes out and says get a mop.
