So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

Annnnnd, go...

Luckily only online. I have met service members who exaggerate their service though. It doesn't bother me. I am a very secure Marine. Semper Fi.

These stories crack me up. Disrespectful as hell, but it's funny to look at the insane combinations these guys come up with.

Even tho it pisses me off to no end... it is not funny but the ignorance is fucking cracker jack comical that one or many personnel can be so jacked up... It's prolly the most disrespectful single thing other than impersonate a fallen soldier for profit like my ex's boyfriend done and served prison time over it... he really needs to die a slow painful death for me to be satisfied... fuck posers and RIP BROTHERS...

Military issue equipment is too readily available to civilians, this includes myself. What was disheartening to me was going into a collectibles shop and seeing a Silver Star for sale. How do you put a price tag on valor and honor? The owner had no info on the recipient.
