So I saw my first military poser today at Wal-Mart of all places. Had Army ACUs, popped collar, what looked like a white turtleneck and Doc Marten's boots, patrol cap on indoors, no name tapes anywhere, Marine Corps Globe-and-Anchor on his pc, no unit patches and an American flag patch with no stars. I asked him what unit he was in, he responded with being an E-7 petty officer in the Navy.

One happened to be wifes Ex. he used to set around the VFW and tell about training jet pilots. He had never seen a days service in his life. Another was a kid going home from basic that was wearing Major leaves and M/sgt. stripes so the home folks would think he was a Sgt. major. Never ran into any real war storys. I don't think my temper would have stood the test.

What a total piece of shit this guy must be. He should have at the very least did some research on military rank before claiming to be in the Navy. He would have received a sincere calling down if I had met him. He deserved to have the taste slapped out of his mouth for his bad acting. Believe me, he would not have been smiling after meeting me!!!!!!

I wrote letters to my Mom's friend in Vietnam when I was 10 in 1969, He sent tiger stripes to me but before my Mom's shift in OR at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Tx. was over somebody had taken the package! Once the internet provided a place to buy Tiger stripes then I began purchasing them! I wear the pants from time to time and over the years have bought around 20 pair! My Dad served in the Army in Korea, my nephew lost his legs in Afghanistan in 2009 while serving in the Army, I have a cousin who is a career Medic in the Army and I have the utmost respect for the Military of the United States of America! I retired from the Odessa Fire Department with 29 years and have never been in the military! I can not believe people would do this kind of thing for their personal gain but it doesn't surprise me!
