Have you seen military posers in person?

I recently met a "Vietnam Vet" who insisted that his unit was tearing down when he was assigned to Vietnam in 1974. That meant he only spent 4 month there. Since he "wasn't supposed to be there in the first place", the Army refused to issue discharge papers. This was even after he spent 6 years serving after returning. AND he got in trouble while driving a HEMTT. (The HEMTT was introduced to the Army in 1985. (1974+6 years service =1980. Source: http://www.army-technology.com/projects/oshkosh-hemtt/ ) There is also an article that says it entered production in 1982, but that is still beyond the 6 year mark, even if he was on some advanced fielding team. BTW I didn't go all YouTube on him because he could have just been a a Vet and just a bit confused about his actual set of events.

Only once. An 18 year old kid claimed to be a radio communications specialist 2LT for a Green Beret team. His BS story was he was recruited in junior high and went through officer and orientation courses while still in high school and did SF selection during the summers. He got called out by myself and about a dozen OEF/OIF veterans while using GI bill money to go back to university. He dropped out of school less than a week later.
