Embrace the suck. Do as you're told as fast as you can. Understand that while you think life sucks in training, there is an end point. Keep that focus.

First and foremost remember that its all a mental game and not all that hard a one at that. Consider this, everyone you have ever met or will meet that is in the Air Force or has been in the Air Force has gone through it. Go with the flow and don't fight it. Don't try to compare basic training to real life or even to make sense of whats going on or why you are being yelled at. The same NCO's that will be yelling at you on day one have a vested interest in your eventual success. While they will never be your friend, their job is to see that you eventually graduate. When you have free time, study the book they give you! Do what you are told, when you are told to do it, and how you are told to do it. If you don't understand how to do something ask someone for help. Never be first, never be last, and most of all never volunteer.
