Pretty self explanitory, Has anyone here used the VA to buy a home? If so, was it a pain and is it worth it?

I’m new to this site. Been retired for 14 years, is it still true you only get one VA loan for house purchase? Many thanks

Not at all Chief! You can have multiple VA loans at one time, you are limited only by the eligibility on your VA COE (Certificate of Eligibility).

No down payment what more can you ask for,and for the most part it's relativly simple however they request pest inspection, water test by professional [a well driller should be able to help.] appraisal of property,so there is money you have to have.. However if you qualify go for it.

No help there, No help then, and no help now. I have talked typed and texted. I believe it is another "insider thing". If you have the "right Friends", they can "connect you. If not...You are left out for the "Con-men" who take your money and still leave you out in the cold. The same as it is with other lenders with connections...People pay, but it is never enough. Then they take your home once they have bled you and yours dry. All a con that is supported by insiders in the Government...

I would go for any other loan out their. It is nice to have no money out of pocket but you have to have an escrow account. To pay taxes and insurance and with that most financial institutions. Most of them use it like their own personal piggy bank and leave you with the bill. And you have to hire a lawyer to fix the problem. Because it may be a government loan or a loan backed by the VA. What ever you want to call it.They can not do a thing at all. If you feel that in way, any of your rights at all are being violated. the V.A loan department will tell right off hand get a lawyer. Their is nothing they can do. So you may lose sleep and many other things until a lawyer steps in. If I were you would go with an other loan. I have found other loans to be better. And other loans have no money out of pocket just have to ask about what is offered and by who. Good luck with the VA loan if you get it
