Pretty self explanitory, Has anyone here used the VA to buy a home? If so, was it a pain and is it worth it?

Definitely worth it. Some Realtors are afraid of them because there used to be long delays, but my last one was as quick as an FHA loan.

my finding is find out if city or county or state has open burning = if they do read cdc & epa reports about toxic smoke and ash producing toxic air born lead = your VA Loan is probated under guidelines you could find your self in a fraud contract if sellers did not have property and doweling guaranteed by proper appraisal inspection . In fact the LOAN COUD BE CALLED AFTER IT WAS FOUND TO BE CONTAMATED . I Know this after trying to buy and reading guidelines of VA ,and receiving a Email from quality air ,Johnson County ,Ks. & CDC & US-EPA = KANSAS , JOHNSON COUNTY GAVE ME 3 OPTIONS #1 HAVE CITY STOP BURNING / #2 ABANDENT HOME /#3 WARE A FILTER AIR MASK . Now I ask you to be smarter than most when using VA , if you abundant the home you will still owe and they will get their MONEY .

I used it first time 5 years ago and my bank (Amegy) in Texas kept it 2 months and sold it to Penny Mac that makes me have an escrow account takes almost $300. a month out to put into escrow and my insurance is under $700. a year. My principal and interest is $720. so I think I am getting screwed on this and I haven't figured out whether the VA will help out on these crooks.

Start with getting prequalified with a vetted VA specialist. VETTEDVA Facebook group and http://findamortgagebroker.com are two great resources to find a mortgage broker. Pick one who will educate you on the home-buying process as well as getting you pre-approved.
