Honorflightgreeter.com is the website to sign up ifyou haven't done it before.
Honorflight.org isbthe website to find out about the organization.

I think this is the best volunteer opportunity ever. These ladies and gentlemen dont have much time left for us to show them our appreciation for what they did for us. I think it's one of the best experience I have ever had and think it should be for you too. Get out and volunteer to do this. If you have questions I am more then happy to answer them.

This is a good program and will not take up a lot of time on your part. You choose your level of involvement. Volunteering for one flight basically involves one full day and the costs associated with that day.
The value comes from the help you give to the disabled vet your assisting. Often times this is their last chance to see the memorial due to their terminal condition. It's difficult to put a price on that value!

To be a Honor Flight participant, the veteran does not have to be disabled. All American War Veterans, WWII, Korea, and now Vietnam are encouraged to locate their nearest organization and get on the flight list.

Grandpa
My grandfather got to go on the trip a few years back. Thankfully he made it before the Alzheimer began really beating him up. He showed off the pictures taken that day with pride pride that was indescribable. I am thankful to those that made this possible.
