How are the unaccompanied barracks at Ft. Gordon and Ft. Belvoir (for 68N who will be based at the hospital of those respected posts)?

Check out each post website, scroll through the Directory link and find the unaccompanied housing office to contact them.

Currently living in the barracks on Belvoir, it's not awful. Cooking implements like stove/oven are in the common area in each building. You might have a roommate, considering they can and normally try to put two people to a room. Two minute drive from the commissary. Just watch out for mold. Had it real bad in the first room I was put in. They moved us about two weeks after we pointed it out.

Are you at the hospital barracks? Not sure if there is a difference.
We heard e4 got their own room and possibly were able to move off post due to barracks being full.

As far as I'm aware there aren't any difference in the rooms. The hospital people might be in a separate cluster of buildings, but the set of barracks are the only ones on Fort Belvoir. If you get your own room, that's absolutely great. But just letting you know, we've still got E5's living in the barracks. Unless you're married or E5-P, I'd get nice and comfy. Hope this helps.

Strange. We heard different things about the hospital barracks. Thanks for the info, I'll pass it on to my classmates that are PCSing there this month. SGT (Join to see) -

Fort Belvoir is decent. Refrigerator, stove top, stack type barracks. Post is small. You will get BAS since there is no operational DFAC on post at the moment. I am currently deployed so I don't know the current DFAC situation, they were remodeling. Even when it is open, it is pay only. You will get BAS regardless. The DFAC is within walking distance of the barracks.

What are stack type barracks? At Benning we had two bedroom rooms. Shared a bathroom, and kitchen (with fridge and stove/oven).
Are these like the old school style where you have a communal kitchen?

I can only speak for the NCO barracks which I am assuming is the same setup. The kitchen is in the room, same with a personal bathroom. Nothing shared. The one NCO I have that lives in there lives alone, but I think you would have one roommate e-1 to e-4

Ft Gordon was amazing for me like college. The hospital is kinda slow there the Dr.s and civs that work there are very rude.
