I have a soldier I previously served with in a RFX unit, I need him for our deployment. How can I make this happen or help speed up the process?

Can a Soldier transfer from an RFX unit? Yes. The question is how likely the probability is. Which, the answer is very unlikely. Going from one RFX to another has better chances (still unlikely) than going from an RFX to a non-RFX. Especially if the RFX unit they are currently in is short on personnel. Unless the much higher/bigger bosses initiate and complete the process, I highly doubt it will be approved at the unit level....if manning is already short.

Thank you for the reply SFC, the SM is in a RFX unit but the unit we are trying to get him in is also RFX and is deploying soon. Does that help our chances? Or is it still a low probability?

SSG (Join to see) - Chances are better.....but again, it's going to fall down to the manning of his current unit.

Best of luck. This is kind of the RFX thought process.

Soldier: Can I give more to the Army by transferring to Active Duty or switching to another unit to deploy?

USAR: NO! You are a mandatory benchwarmer!

And if I were that soldier, the next time the reenlistment NCO came to see me, he'd get an education in profanity in every language I speak.
