How can I find military information about my grandfather, who served during WW2?

my grandfather served during WW2. I never got to know him as well as I would have liked. can anyone point me in any direction to start?

Pulled my grandfather's service record from World War II, was able to put a flag case together, can be a little tedious but worth it
