If I were you I would go onto HRC's website. Choose enlisted promotions and then about halfway down the page choose the Promotion Point Worksheet (PPW). When you open the PPW it will say what your status is. Best of luck!

You are missing a lot of details in this post. Have you gone to a promotion board? Have you reviewed AR 600-8-19 to see if you are eligible to go to a promotion board?

You should be eligible to attend the promotion board in October for a primary zone promotion consideration if you meet the rest of the eligibility requirements.

No problem. If you need help studying I created flash cards on quizlet for the most common regulations, definitely read over the NCO guide though, it has a lot of good information. https://quizlet.com/kristysmiles

Right on SGT Wiley, good advice!! SPC Franklin just make sure that you study those ADPs. It will benefit you immensely at the board. I would also recommend reading the actual ARs and ADPs so that you get as much information as possible. I know it's not always fun but definitely helpful.

You should be getting a professional growth counseling and it appears that that isn't happening. I would really ask for one and speak with the first NCO in your support channel that can answer the question.

Honestly, I cannot add any more than SGT Wiley said, but I do want to add that your NCO should mentor you a little better and keep you better informed.......on top of that I recommend you keep yourself better informed as well.

Time in service: 36 months (PZ); 18 months (SZ)
Time in grade: 8 months (PZ); 4 months (SZ)

Check against your ERB, it should state if you are in fact DA selected or not.

That's the requirement to get promoted, to get recommended/attend the promotion board the requirement is 1 month prior. It's table 3-1 in AR 600-8-19 if you need a reference.

How much time in service do you have? Time in grade? Is SSD 1 complete?

Your unit should have a promotion roster (C-10) that all promotables NCO's who are waiting on points should have to review and sign each month. AR 600-8-19 explains that process. Question, did you go to the promotion board?

I guess I should really change my original question. I know I don't have promotable status because I have not even been to an NCO board. So I suppose my real question is how do I know if I am in my primary or secondary zone.
