How can I get a translation of a medical file from a German hospital when I was stationed in Mannheim?

I’m getting ready to go through the medboard process and have hospital record for care I received in Germany and want to add it to my file. How do I get it translated or does medical records do that at Fort Belvoir?

Update. At The Fort Belvoir Community hospital all I had to do was take them tp patient advocacy and the have a company they send them to that does it. At no charge to me.

I'm trying to find an answer for you through my sources within the AMEDD. Quick questions for you:
-Were you active duty when you were seen in the German hospital?
-Lastly, was this an isolated care event, or do you have follow-on related care in your record that is also associated to this visit?
Please feel free to respond to me in a private message if you don't want these questions answered out on the board. I fully understand.

My source told me that you should be able to take it to your local military hospital and they can translate it for you into an English version. You might also have luck finding a local provider who speaks German and has a staff that's willing to convert it for you. That will cost some money, but it shouldn't be too expensive. Of course the military facility might be free (if it was care provided through a German Tricare contractor while on active duty), but it may take a little longer.
