Recently ETS’d from Army Reserves. Received my Format 500 separation orders.

However, asked about my reenlistment codes, my S-1 said, “We don’t determine that. MEPS does.”
I went to a recruiters office to have it pulled, and is as follows:
Character of Service: A
IRE: 09
Reenlist. Eligibility: ZZ
SPD Code: ZZZ

Any assistance where I should start to get my reenlistment codes would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the Discharge Authority never did input your data in regards to SPD and RE.

What did your Reserve Discharge Orders say in regards to type of Discharge? You got an Honorable?

SGT (Join to see) - Yea...then I'd say someone forgot to add some info. Not sure how this could be fixed other than working with USARC and HRC.

Thank you, I’ll email HRC and see if anything can be done on that end.

SPD codes and RE codes are for DD214s, which are for periods of active service. You're not going to get an RE code or SPD for your reserve separation, because that is not active service

I’m a now former reservist trying to come back into the service. I understand that DD 214’s are for separation from active duty. But I asked what is needed in this scenario to determine reenlistment eligibility, as this is needed even by reserve recruiters. Something should still come up on the REDD report, but the recruiters are getting “no data input.”

NGB22 have a re-enlistment code on it. Block 26 on mine. No clue about the Army Reserve side.

CPT Lawrence Cable reservists usually just get a set of orders that say separated or transferred to IRR.

I never noticed that on the NGB22 before, I guess I was wrong about that lol

I think I have at least 3 NGB22's and at least a couple of DD214's. When I left the IRR, I just got orders rolling me into the Retired Reserve. They want to keep you on the rolls as long as possible.
