My unit/state is currently having a financial problem for everyone to get prescripted inserts. I need it for when I go to airborne and CST this coming summer. I have heard some reservist paying out of pocket with a civilian eye doctor to get inserts.

Any help or suggestions will be gladly appreciated.

I don't know why you would need it for Airborne school, there's nothing to look at but your feet most of the time. In fact, there's no need for eye pro in airborne school.
I don't know what CST is. I got my inserts when they gave me my prescription glasses.

SFC Boyd, It was just recommended on the packing list. CST is "Cadet Summer Training" and it's a mandatory training we do during the summer before we commission.

Yes I got my military eye glasses and inserts as well back when I was on AD orders to basic/ait which was 3 years ago. I needed to get it a updated prescription for my inserts and eye glasses. Thanks for your feedback.

1LT (Join to see) so that's what it's called! Lol I always heard it called summer camp. Yes you'll probably want some eye inserts for that. You'll most likely be running around doing stuff in the woods. I wear glasses, but if you can function without inserts I wouldn't worry. When it's time to take notes and read a board you won't be wearing eye pro, and when you're wearing eye pro you probably won't be doing much reading.

Ok,

Pro-Mask inserts are Army a Class VIII if I remember correctly, therefore big Army pays for them and not the unit. During jump school any good sport eye frame will do it if you don’t want to use your Army issued frames; same thing for your other training!

Pretty sure it isn't a unit financial problem since they're ordered through . Maybe a MEDDAC problem under Class VIII, VIIIa and VIIIb
