I'll make this as brief as a possibly can.
I joined the Army Reserve 31 JAN 01 Completed Basic Training, and AIT. Returned home to my Unit and 9/11 happened, I was fresh from Training and naturally requested deployment. Nothing.

I also worked weekends so My Chain of Command allowed me to perform my Drills During the week, During with time I got to know my CO, who knew I had interest in attending Active Duty I was working on my Release forms and he was helping me with them.

Needless to say all of the Soldiers who were NCO or higher and eligible for deployment where already picked from my unit including the CO and my Section Sgt. who allowed me to do the week day Drills, Arrived was a freshly minted E-5 who I already had a problem with when he was a E-4 Know it all on a power trip. He knew my intentions and based on the buddy system he gave the conditional release to his friend who "will do better on Active Duty in his eyes" Then I was hit with All the Drills I have been doing during the week, were now UNSATS. along with the fact that when he called me two days before drill which I told him I was getting ready to move that day, And I would be updating my address when we report that weekend since my GF and I split and I am signing my lease today.
I came into 2 counseling statements, one for Unsatisfactory Drill Performance, Even though I have LES's Proving I have completed those Drill Slots, and that I only moved and signed the lease 1 day prior to the Drill Date.

I also used public transportation which was not available during the weekend to make it to the unit during the week since I did not have a vehicle at the time. The Same Section Sgt. drove right by my apartment on his way to drill I asked for transportation to no avail. It was my responsibility to get to drill on time and find my own transportation.

Needless to say the Next Monthly Drill I was told I was being Reduced to PV1 and removed from the military so just stop showing up we don't want you here. I was placed in the IRR from which I hoped for a selection for deployment and did not receive one. I waited out my IRR time and made an attempt every time to go back, Naturally when the reduction of forces was in place it was impossible. When I did talk to recruiters I got blown off, However one did run a RED Report on me to find out that he had info on That I completed IADT and one Annual Training. No Promotion Orders, No Discharge Orders, Nothing. The Recruiter who ran the RED Report said he wasn't going to pursue it as he was pending a MED Board. So he wasn't really committed to his mission since he "was getting out anyway" I talked to a few recruiters who said nothing we can do, You did your IRR time and your done go away, The only thing I received that proved I completed my IRR time was a love letter in the mail from the Army National Guard stating that now that I am free would I consider joining. I called right away and the Retention NCO couldn't figure it out so he gave up on me.

I am very motivated to get back in to the Military I have been Trying for years, most recent recruiter I talked to asked for my DD214 I told him the only one I have is the one from IADT and he hasn't got back to me since, I left messages and e-mailed him, he went ghost on me.

Oh and BTW for those who are wondering, the soldier that was given preference over me for Active Duty, He was home in less than a year for conduct unbecoming of a soldier? I don't know what he did.

Well if your recruiter don’t have anything and there is no record of you I’m the system then don’t worry about it and you will have a fresh start like a new recruit! Call a recruiter!

SGT Davis, I sent a request to the NPRC about a week ago via Fax, I have a copy I also grabbed a copy of DD Form 293 for a review of discharge.

I’m now in the “Hurry up and wait process”

So why don't you ask for a Congressional, if the Army is stuck in low gear. If the report is right, then technically you are still in as the oldest in history maybe.
