What resources should I utilize for obtaining proper credentials/qualifications to teach in Japan after leaving the Army? I’ve done research but many answers seem to vary, so I figured I might just ask on RP.

You’re looking for the JET program. As long as you’re a native English speaker you can teach English in Japan, no specific credentials required. There are many private schools and companies that will hire you as well, but the issue you will run into is obtaining a visa if you aren’t there legally already
