Many homeless veterans don't bother applying for VA benefits and many still don't know that benefits are available. The VA can't go it alone. Veterans are going to have to establish community housing and educational program for fellow homeless veterans. I have a nonprofit called AboutFace-USA.Org, which is in the process of talking to the local County politicians to determine what we can do together to help our veterans. Please feel to check us out at http://www.aboutface-usa.org. We are willing to share ideas.

Sgt Joe LaBranche - Hello , i was out doing some things. OK well , i'm here in the Apple = NYC. I plan to bring focus on Veterans and our way of doing business and our problems. And if we or i present the story the right way. I'm sure something can be done to help our cause. I do want advise from you. But before i go let me say i'll be back tonight to check and see if you have anything to say. And one last word of advise , if you don't go along with . Than we may not be able to see eye to eye. The point is this. I think what ever we do , we need to start out with the understanding that American Society does in fact want to see us helped. It is some misguided people in government and also some fools running the NGO's that we have problems connecting. So what does that mean. It means our Society , in my mind is OK with Veterans and our issues and will get behind us if we talk in clear manner , show the problem and give 2 or 3 reason and goals to fix it. If there is angry talk on our part or to much confusion than the American people , the ones i talk with say. This guy or that guy is damaged goods , he's crazy or has PTSD. Why tell you this. Because if we , you or i start any plan of action by claiming we are poor souls that have been abused. Even if that true , people have their own problems and will not get behind us. So i can't waste time with people that want to fight. I need to interact with smart people. Are you with me. If so we can talk. By , By 4 now - CARL

Sgt (Join to see) - I appreciate you being upfront and honest. I agree with you about being careful to not coming across with a negative attitude and turning people off. I believe you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar!

I would like to hear more about the program(s) you have in mind. I currently offer group mentoring, Equine Assisted Therapy, Tapping Therapy, Tower Garden farming, and some vocational programs for veterans and their family members. Phase two will include short and long term housing, skills training such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, gourmet cooking and obstacles courses.

My personal email is [login to see] . Email me and I will email you a couple of document that outline the programs I mentioned above.
