How confident are you of your knowledge of government, the Constitution, and your ability to make a well-informed choice of candidates?

Imagine that you are tasked with selecting a new CEO for a major corporation. How would you select one? What criteria would you use? What questions would you ask? Which credentials would you look for? Every four years Americans are asked to do just that. We're asked to select the person best qualified to faithfully execute the laws of the United States. To manage one of the largest groups of employees in the nation. To act as Commander-in-Chief of the world's most powerful military force. They will not only be responsible, they will be the lightning rod for all criticism. Indeed, the job is so daunting it's a wonder than anyone even applies. Equally daunting is the task of choosing one. How ready are you? What do you really know? Will you simply follow the lead of your party or will you make an effort to come to an informed decision?
Hillsdale College is offering a free course on The American Presidency and the Constitution. I have taken several of their online courses and found all to be excellent. I recommend them highly.

I don't know. Obama has knocked everything I knew about the Constitution out of the water. But I can pass the quiz you have to take to become a citizen.

I doubt if he "sucked the knowledge out of your head". If anything, he has shaken our confidence in the spirit and intent of the Constitution and the law of the land.

CPT Jack Durish - While I have a good understanding of the civic responsibilities of the officers for which I'm voting AND reasonable confidence in the Constitution's scope, I have very little knowledge and confidence in the current candidates.

We're on the same page there. Still, choosing a President, especially from a pool as strange as this requires event greater consideration. Voting for some random person, no matter how well qualified, is as good as not voting at all

I gave you a thumbs up because I think education about the basis for our government is very impotant and worthwhile. But I didn't watch the video in case these are the ones that radicalized you! ;)
(Just kidding. While I disagree with much of what you say about our government, I enjoy our discussions).

You always get a thumbs up from me because I appreciate a worthy adversary, one who challenges me to learn and either become stronger in my convictions or correct them
