There is some evidence out there talking about how a ketogenic diet can help a myriad of problems. One group that should not go blindly into this is the Type I diabetic as they will need to modify due to their disease state.
A ketogenic diet does offer a major course correction for the body in that it reduces insulin resistance which can contribute to triglyceride issues. You can find out more great information from Dr. Phung at http://www.dietdoctor.com

COL Lee Flemming Sir, I used to have high cholesterol until I changed my eating habits. I eat more chicken and fish and have cut way back on meat. The meat I do eat is lean and I drain any grease. I rarely eat potato chips, cheese, bacon or anything else that would raise my cholesterol.

I use the same diet measures as you do along with a low dose statin medication for cholesterol. For BP I quit all added table salt and make an strong effort to avoid prepared foods which are heavy in salt. My BP is down to prehypertensive, but is considered 'normal' for someone of my advanced age. (135/82+/-) I gave up BP medications; they made me dizzy to begin with.
