Hello, how do I check if I was opted into the BRS? I commissioned in 2013 and I remember having the option to opt into it, but I don't remember if I did or not. I've Googled and looked everywhere and have no idea how to check. Please advise. Thank you!

Sir, when Blended Retirement came into play in 2017/2018, you had to manually opt in. As in, you had to go into DFAS and click a button. If you did no such thing, then you're still I'm Traditional. However, if you want to verify, contact DFAS.

CPT (Join to see), access Your MyPay account. Once logged in, select the "Blended Retirement System (BRS)" option, which is typically located in the main menu or under the "Taxes" or "Retirement" section, depending on the MyPay website's layout. In the BRS section, you should be able to view your BRS status, including whether you are enrolled in the Blended Retirement System or the legacy High-3 retirement system. Additionally, you can check your LES which should display information about your retirement plan. Lastly, if you are unable to access MyPay you can contact DFAS directly.

If you are contributing to TSP on your LES then you probably are enrolled.

You can verify enrollment in RCMS.
Step 1: Log onto RCMS G1 Self-Service
Step 2: My Soldier Tab
Step 3: Retirement
Look for BRS Enrollment Date to the right
