Does anyone know how to use markup language in posts, or otherwise make text bold or italic, etc.? Or is it just not possible? I tried using HTML to make <i>italics</i>, but it didn't work. Thanks!

Yeah, this platform does not have a rich text editor. This editor is plain text. Definition: rich text - has the formatting options
plain text- is the pre-selected font style for typing
If you want to write something special, use a word document or some document style that has all the standard formatting options. Then copy/paste it to the RP editor

(This is essentially copied from another thread where I had this same question, but I wanted it to have its own topic.)

Right now the platform does not support formatted text. It is something on the roadmap.

CAPT Michael Toleno - This has been discussed before. Hoping for Markdown (expecting Slack-style restrictions - e.g. no MD hyperlinks).

I tend to use **BOLD**, *italics* to help text stand out; including the asterisks. Currently, there is no HTML or Markdown support that I am aware of here on RP.

Thanks for the answer. Many sites don't make it clear whether or not you can format text. Cheers!

Thanks, but I said that that didn't work. SGT Ben Keen gave the right answer.

CAPT Michael Toleno I was answering his question about how markup language works... and I answered it, whether this site supports it or not is immaterial to the fact that his question was a fundament inquiry on basic html.

Um, I am the "his" whose question you answered. I wasn't asking a general question about how markup language works. I guess I should have been more explicit and said "in posts on this web site," but I thought that that was obvious. I assumed too much. Or is there some other question on this thread that you were answering? I only see my own question, and your post is a reply to my question. Weird.

CAPT Michael Toleno I was literally answering the question you asked... I used the bar where I can't see comments, so when I wrote my answer, there was no way I could see any responses including one the one that you are referencing, so I do not understand the line of response other than to flex some sort of authority you think you have.
