How do I get a waiver for an RE code 3 separation (weight)?

Lose weight, and then go see a Recruiter. They will then request a waiver through their chain of command, and inform you of anything that you need to do (written statements, interview with the BN XO, etc.)

It's a bit more complicated than just re code 3. Bring your dd214 to a recruiting center while also meeting 600-9 standard, they may be able to work with you but the dd214 has more on it than just the RE code

You'll need to prove that the reason you were separated is no longer an issue for service, and that the Army should take you back. Recruiter will walk you through the rest.

You need to be in accordance with Army Height and Weight with a current DA Form 5500 which will be completed by your Recruiter
