I am going through the IDES med board program and they told me about a warrior transition unit “WTU” . How exactly do I get in this unit?

There is a packet that has to be done, including a 4187. Ask the personnel at the MEB process if they have an example packet.

Your unit will have to complete the WTB packet. They will gather all the necessary information from your medical/BH provider and counsel you on the process. Once signed and completed, they will send it to the WTB for review. Just know not all packets are accepted. WTB units have limited slots and cadre who support the service members assigned to the unit. Your packet will vetted and those requiring the most care will get in first.
