How do I go about requesting orders at my 2-year mark in Hawaii so that I am not stuck here until I ETS?

Hello, I’m currently stationed in Hawaii with a DEROS of 20220325 and I ETS 20230510.
I was wondering how I go about requestion orders at my 2 year mark here, so that I am not stuck here until I ETS.

Unless you are commission or leave on a compassionate reassignment, your report date to your next assignment will be within 60 days after your DEROS. You won’t be able to reenlist for your next duty assignment, but when you get to your next duty assignment you will be eligible to reenlist then.

You don’t. You have enough time remaining on you contract from your DEROS to PCS. You should expect orders 6 months from your DEROS

You have to stay until your DEROS. In order to leave before your DEROS, you would have to request a curtailment, however, you have to have a very good reason other than you’re ready to leave, for it to get approved. Even if you receive your orders based upon your DEROS and it has early report authorized, you still can’t leave before your DEROS Date. SPC (Join to see)

Shortly before your DEROS, you will receive new orders to PCS to an assignment that is CONUS. You should have plenty of time to PCS and ETS from that follow on assignment. I highly doubt you will be able to get orders sooner than when they will eventually arrive.
