I was active duty for three years and then re-enlisted into the Arizona National Guard with a duty affiliated bonus attached as well as a stabilization agreement. I am about 6 months into the Guard contract and am thinking about relocating to Wisconsin to be closer to my Dad. How do I get started? Will I retain my bonus if I can find my MOS in the gaining unit and any other additions to my contract like my stabilization agreement. I have tried to understand AR 135-91 as it pertains to this situation but am having trouble navigating the overall process.

Talk to your unit Readiness NCO.
Your state IST coordinator works either in your Recruiting BN or G1.
Same with the state you want to go to.
There is a checklist, current PHA and time remaining on contract are major items.
The ideal is that you contact a unit in the gaining state and have their POC info and a position.
Less ideal is the "uncoordinated" IST, where they hand you off to the gaining state, and find a position later, often without contacting you or that gaining unit.
A word of caution:
you talk about "considering a move". Firm that up before you initiate the IST.
I have completed ISTs for those "considering" a move, only to have to work another IST to bring them back when they didn't actually move.

SGM,

Thank you for your response. I’ve recently began the IST process with my Admin NCO. Any other tips or takeaways?

I have a DMOSQ EAB. Do I risk losing this/repaying what I’ve already received?

I also signed a 2 year stabilization agreement specifically for the AZ National Guard. Is this incentive transferable or does it become void upon transferring to the gaining state?

Your bonus is MOS and UIC specific.
Just transferring companies would void that.
You can submit an ETP letter to retain your bonus, but there are no guarantees on that.

Final pointers,
Your last two steps on an IST is to swear in to the gaining state, and submit your new assignment orders to your losing state to be discharged from them.
An IST is the lowest priority personnel action for everyone involved except you, so follow up monthly until complete.

You are solely responsible for your drill attendance. If you move prior to the IST being complete, you are responsible for getting a SUTA or auth absence approved by your losing CO every month. If you SUTA, you are responsible for getting a SUTA doc from your losing company, getting it certified where you SUTA, ideally your gaining company, and getting it back to your losing company for drill pay.
