I was a Rigger on the enlisted side. When I commissioned, I branched Transportation. What is the proper process to get Permissive Jump Status with my old unit so I can still jump with them? My current unit is in the same brigade as my previous unit, but no one at the brigade level on down seem to know how to initiate this process. I've been told it can be approved at the brigade level, but I've also been told it must be approved at the USARC level. Thanks in advance.

If you are on jump status then the mission commander of the jumping unit should be able to add you to the jump. Whether your existing unit would want you to get some formal approval or not would depend on your own unit. Key is to be on jump status.

1LT(P) (Join to see), Sir you would have to get a memo from your BN Commander. You would also need to have the Airborne unit BN Commander willing to allow you to jump. You would not get paid or receive jump status, it would strictly be voluntary.
Take a look at this, it a bit old but I think it’s still current guidance. http://www.tradoc.army.mil/SGS/CMDPolicyletters/16.%20Delegation%20of%20Authority,%20Permissive%20Parachute%20Jumping.pdf

Can it be done probably but since you are no longer in an airborne unit there is no reason to waste resources for you to maintain a jump status. You'd have to be put on a paid status to jump with your previous unit and that just takes away from the days that you can perform with the unit you are actually in. If there is no benefit to your command you are assigned to then I'd see no reason to grant it.
