So, I'm trying to figure out how to market my job experience. I'm not necessarily LOOKING for a new job, but I'm not even sure where my job would fit in the medical field. Like what jobs would be synonymous with what I do. The reason I'm confused is because my job is kind of specific for this Neurology clinic, I'm a Neurotoxin Coordinator for one of the top headache clinics in the state.

My job duties entail:
-Calling Specialty pharmacies and ordering the neurotoxins for patients well in advance of their appointment
-Enrolling patients with said specialty pharmacies
- Filling prescriptions verbally/written for patients neurotoxins
- Filing for Prior Authorizations with patients insurances, to ensure payment of treatment and medication
- Coordinate best day for delivery for the medication
-Properly unpack and store medication
-Maintain inventory of neurotoxins in excess of $25k
-Maintain inventory of CGRPs for patients
-Stage the medications daily for the providers to be able to "grab & go" for their appointments
- Give information and enroll patients in different neurotoxin copay assistance programs


I'm just completely confused on how to market myself to future employers. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy here, but we all know how unpredictable life is and I'd rather be prepared than shafted. Thanks for your time

Go to LinkedIn and in the search bar type in medical coordinator and see the jobs that are available and the requirements listed. See if those are in line with your experience. Make a master resume then start targeting companies that you would like to work for. Then start connecting with folks that are aligned with the job you want. Ask them for a meeting or if they offer informational interviews. Also, look for Vets in the job area that you want. That is the best source of information and helps build your network.

I'd call it a "Program Coordinator" position, with Neurotoxin being the specific program. "Program Manager" or "Program Administrator" may also apply, although the former normally implies overall leadership of the program and the latter implies that you don't have any clinical focus in your role.

One of the things you can do is build a resume and load it up on LinkedIn and see what kind of responses you get.
