How do I transfer National Guard infantry to Reserve PSYOP, and should I?

I've been in the Guard for 8 years as an infantry officer and I'm ready for a change, PSYOP seems right up my ally. I'm curious who I reach out to in order to make this happen. I've tried getting in contact with the Reserve officer strength manager and the PSYOP recruiter, both have been dead ends.
The other side to this, I just got DA boarded for CPT this year and am set to go to MLOC/MCCC this upcoming year. I am concerned that if I am able to transfer it may delay any promotion to CPT and get me kicked out of the military all together. Would it maybe be better to wait until my mandatory service date is up in two years?

Hey bud I made a recent career change fairly similar to what you're talking about. Mine was easier because I went from medlog NG officer to medevac pilot and through a loophole stayed in the same branch.
However, you have the benefit of going to a selection situation for psyop so here's what I would recommend.
Waiting for your obligation to end and coming back can be your insurance but I wouldnt recommend it because rank and age will play a factor in selection. You are reserve so the transition active shouldn't be too difficult. Your best bet would be to contact a SOF recruiter to discuss your particular situation.

And best of luck

PSYOP operators are adaptive thinkers who specialize in unconventional capabilities, cultural expertise, language proficiency, military deception, cyber warfare, and advanced communications techniques across all forms of media. PSYOP Soldiers operate in small, autonomous teams or with other Special Operations forces to persuade and influence local populations in support of U.S. military objectives.

Thats for active PSYOP, he wants Reserve which is not the same thing. Reserve doesn't have POAS or POQC, nor does it go through the SORB.

Yeah i reread this right before you commented and realized he said he's in the guard as well, not reserve.

Regardless sir thanks for the input. I'm not opposed to Active, I'd love to do it if possible, but I don't want to necessarily put all my eggs in that basket as few officers in my unit have been successful making that switch. As I said, I'm concerned about fighting to leave and end up getting forced out as a 1LT because I unintentionally delayed my promotion to CPT past 18 months. To answer your earlier question, 28 years old, commissioned in 2014, DOR for 1LT was 12/2015. I contacted the appropriate recruiter about two weeks ago, but it's been radio silence thus far.

1LT (Join to see) Going to flihht school delayed my promotion too, and the only thing I know from.experiemce is that in order to transfer out of the guard you'd need to do a conditional release..
I feel like thats a DD 368, and my state would NOT allow me to submit one while I was scrolling for promotion because it would have reset the entire scroll.
