How do I update my MEL/MES? I just graduated BLC and it still shows that I am enrolled (my S-1 told me they do not control it).

Your S1 is failing you. Grab your NCO and push the issue with your S1. the NCOIC for S1 will know what to do next or at minimum who to talk to, in order to get the right answer. Make certain to publish your 1059 in iperms at minimum.

Your S1 definitely controls it. They have to key it in SIPERS and add the NCOPD ribbon to your awards. Go through your chain of command to get an answer if your S1 is not doing there job.

From what I have seen, for NCOES the school house updates the school on your ERB, however to add the ribbon you generally have to go to S1.

I'm a instructor for BLC. We do not update the ERBs. We do the 1059 and send it home with the student. They are required to give it to there S1 to input it into iPerms. SIPERS will read and update the ERB. S1 then can fix the education part on the ERB since only 10 schools are allowed on that portion. SSD is also a keyed school. So, if a Soldier completes BLC that is there MEL but once they complete SSD 2 then that becomes their MEL.
