I have a treasure trove of old documents that I cannot access because the Army no longer uses IBM Lotus Form Filler. I found on the Google some instructions that mention "ConvertToPDF2.vbs.txt". Does anyone know if I can run this on a military computer and where I can find this .txt file? All help is greatly appreciated

There are .mil websites that still offer lotus for download (to personal computers). You could email the files to yourself and open them on a personal computer that you’ve installed it on. At that point, print to PDF and your files will be saved in the proper format, but will then be non-fillable.

Go to your printer and instead of selecting a specific printer select save to PDF.

If you have adobe pro, you can convert them to an editable .pdf format.
Also, as 1SG (Join to see) said, formflow should still be available to download so you can access those old files. I still use my old ones for shells, then copy/paste them into ESS. That way I don't have to sweat timing out and the random maintenance downtime that always seems to coincide with when I have evaluations to write or review.

This just worked for me! Download this viewer and you should be able to now see the documents, such as saved DA 638's, on your home computer. "Download Pure Edge Viewer"

You could do what 1SG (Join to see) 1SG Gary White said to do, then take the nonfillable pdf and use acrobat X (not the viewer) to then make the documents fillable again.

I was able to put a help ticket in to get the SASMO to install IBM Form Flow onto my work computer. I appreciate all of the suggestions and advice.

I imagine your local 6 shop should be able to put lotus viewer on your govt comp if you submit a trouble ticket

If these are old documents that you need, the easiest way will be a PDF printer. It will allow you to print your forms in a PDF format.

I tried to print them into PDF forms, but the computer was unable to read them. The files have to be converted into a file type the computer recognizes before you can PDF print them.

So, what you really need isn't a file convertor, just an old version of IBM lotus forms to open them.
