I’ve started having really bad anxiety about jumping. I’ve heard some things about not being able to drop jump status until you’ve reached 36 months on jump status. If anyone knows anything about this or anything to help I’d appreciate it.

DO NOT Do it AFTER you are manifested for a jump, that can turn out to be a "Jump Refusal" and that is not a party you want to be invited to.
Never refuse to jump after Manifest call...that will get you busted and has loads of bad coming with it.

To drop jump status you will have to submit a packet, it will result in a GOMAR if you haven't completed your 36 months. I recommend you talk to your 1SG for some mentorship about it. It's okay to be nervous about jumping, it's not a natural thing to do. I'd be more worried if you claimed you weren't nervous about jumping because that's when mistakes are made and lives are in danger.

In the 17 years I was on jump status, I found that there were two kinds of jumpers that said they were not nervous about jumping, liars and idiots.

You can read previous conversations on this topic. I would warn against making any major decisions until you did some soul searching to see what the root cause of your anxiety. Is it just jumping or is it something else? I say that because dropping jump status under 36 months has some consequences and baggage attached to it. Be sure that's whta you really want.

You are supposed to have a healthy anxiety doing it. It’s an unnatural act.
