Considering the small percentage of homosexuals in the US, it does not represent us at all. Furthermore, it takes away from the historicity of the flag. That I would burn

Don't really know what that is in the photo. The American flag is the only version and cannot be modified.

I see things like this up here at Lewis all the time....especially with the blue and lime green colors for the Seahawks. Ive also seen the black and blue police flags. It seems there is no respect for us as a country anymore. they (people in general) have even made it extremely hard to find a confederate flag. I fight and work 10 - 15 hour days to serve the Stars and Stripes, and i am tried of Old Glory being disrespected.

I myself am an LGBT individual and agree that the alteration to the american flag is disrespectful to the country. The stars could probably have been left off of it, but it is not like they they are petitioning to have the American Flag changed. Its just a supporting icon... No harm is meant by it.... the more fighting that comes from this within ourselves will only create bigger problems. There are far more important matters than a group of people changing the stripes on the flag for support. Again, if they were petitioning to have the flag changed, that is a different story altogether and i myself would laugh at it.

The Flag of the US has not been modified at all. What you see there is A flag of a very particular group making their very "Particular" statement.

Well, considering the American flag has been modified many times, I'm not bothered by this at all. The flag isn't sacred. If you have a problem with this, then you have a problem with free speech. If you have a problem with free speech, you didn't join the military for the right reasons.

You seem unable to distinguish between legal changes of the flag through appropriate legislation and the misuse of the flag for political purposes. Why can't they just fly the American flag? Is there something wrong with it? Are they ashamed of it? Are they trying to start their own gay republic?
People have a right to disagree with their flag just as much as they have a right to fly it. You seem to think freedom is a one way street only. We must agree or accept what we don't like. Nothing could be further from the truth.

ok this is rude... This entire comment is rude. There is no need to go through all of the trouble to do this... It is just going to create discontent among the RP community... Just reading this whole instance has ticked me off and not because of the actual post but because of the rudeness we are putting forth towards each other
